These Terms of Service ("Terms") form the agreement between you — the homeowner or property manager requesting plumbing service — and DrainFix 24/7 Plumbing ("we," "us," or "our"). By calling our number, submitting a contact form, or allowing one of our technicians onto your property, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
We've written these as plainly as possible. If any section is unclear, please call us and we'll walk through it with you before any work begins.
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms apply to all services provided by DrainFix 24/7 Plumbing in Durham, North Carolina and surrounding service areas. The person requesting service confirms they are the property owner, a named tenant with authorization to engage contractors, or an authorized agent of the property owner.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of your service booking governs your appointment.
2. Services Offered
DrainFix 24/7 Plumbing provides residential emergency and scheduled plumbing services, including but not limited to:
- Clogged drain cleaning (kitchen, bathroom, main line)
- Toilet and sink blockage removal
- Water leak detection and repair
- Emergency water leak response and damage mitigation
- Burst pipe repair and emergency shut-off assistance
- Bathroom and kitchen fixture repair
We serve residential properties only. Commercial and industrial service requests are outside the scope of our current operations and may be declined at our discretion.
3. Service Requests
When you call or submit a form on our website, you are initiating a service request. By doing so, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about the problem and your property address
- Be available (or have an authorized adult present) at the scheduled time
- Ensure the service area inside or outside your property is safely accessible
Providing inaccurate information — for example, understating the severity of a leak or failing to disclose a known hazard — can delay repair and may affect the accuracy of any estimate we provide.
4. Estimates & Pricing
We provide upfront pricing after our technician assesses the problem in person. No work begins until you have approved the quoted price. We will not proceed with repairs or charge you for labor beyond what you have explicitly approved.
If additional issues are discovered during the job that were not visible at the time of the original estimate, we will stop work, explain the situation, and provide a revised quote before continuing. You are free to decline the additional work at no charge for the unapproved portion.
Emergency service calls outside normal business hours may include an after-hours or emergency dispatch fee, which will be disclosed to you when you book.
5. Emergency Response
We make every effort to reach you as fast as possible during emergencies. Response time estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed due to factors outside our control, including traffic, weather conditions, and simultaneous service demand.
In a water emergency, we strongly encourage you to locate your home's main shut-off valve and close it before our technician arrives. This minimises water damage while we're en route. If you need guidance, our dispatcher can walk you through it over the phone.
6. Property Access
By scheduling a service appointment, you grant DrainFix 24/7 Plumbing technicians access to the areas of your property necessary to perform the agreed-upon work. This may include:
- Interior plumbing access points, utility rooms, or crawl spaces
- Exterior water shut-off locations or drain clean-outs
- Any areas directly related to the reported issue
You are responsible for disclosing any known hazards on the property that could affect the safety of our technicians, such as aggressive animals, structural instability, or hazardous materials. Failure to disclose material hazards may result in the technician declining to continue work until the hazard is addressed.
7. Warranties & Guarantees
We stand behind our workmanship. All labor performed by DrainFix 24/7 Plumbing carries a 30-day workmanship guarantee. If the same issue recurs within 30 days and is directly caused by our repair, we will return and address it at no additional labor cost.
This guarantee does not apply to:
- New or unrelated issues that arise after service
- Pre-existing pipe corrosion or deterioration unrelated to the repair
- Damage caused by misuse, freezing, or third-party interference after our visit
Manufacturer warranties on any parts installed remain governed by the respective manufacturer's terms and are separate from our workmanship guarantee.
8. Cancellations
You may cancel or reschedule a scheduled (non-emergency) appointment at any time. We ask for at least 2 hours' notice for scheduled appointments so we can reallocate a technician. For true emergency dispatch calls, cancellation after a technician has already been dispatched may incur a nominal trip fee, which will be disclosed at booking.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to extenuating circumstances such as extreme weather, vehicle breakdowns, or personnel emergencies. In such cases, we will notify you as promptly as possible and reschedule at the earliest available time.
9. Limitation of Liability
DrainFix 24/7 Plumbing carries general liability insurance and will take responsibility for any damage directly caused by our technicians during service. If you believe our work caused damage to your property, please notify us within 72 hours of the service date and we will investigate promptly.
Our liability is limited to the cost of repairing or replacing the specific area damaged during service. We are not liable for pre-existing concealed conditions (such as deteriorated pipes inside walls) that are not visible or discoverable through reasonable inspection, or for consequential losses such as water damage that occurred before our arrival.
10. Disputes
If you have a billing concern or are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, we encourage you to call us first. Most issues can be resolved quickly in a direct conversation. We take customer satisfaction seriously and will make every reasonable effort to reach a fair resolution.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Durham County, NC.
